We have pivoted from design to construction! We’re excited to share some details about our progress so far!
As previously mentioned, we received Phius Zero Design certification in May, which was a HUGE milestone. You can see the details in the Phius database and more in a previous blog post. We were among nine projects that were design certified in May and one of just four projects design certified to Phius Zero. See the list of projects here.
We have had six people join our team as part-time employees since our June 1 post. It’s great to see people interested in learning to build better; we would be unable to succeed without them and the skills they bring to the team!
We received the building permit from the City of Grand Rapids on July 1 and broke ground on July 8. Check out some photos and video here. We’re building on an innovative foundation free of concrete and foam. There will be more to say about the details in future posts.
