We are pleased to announce that our first house, MiNet0-1 (Eastern) is officially “Triple-Certified” at the highest levels! This has been our goal since the design phase in 2023. It feels good to be at the finish line! The three certifications are Phius Zero, Greenstar Platinum, and LEED Platinum. Phius mandates the highest levels of energy efficiency and durability. Greenstar provides additional facets with their “five pillars of green,” which in addition to energy efficiency include materials, health, water, and place. LEED is the most well-known certification and provided additional resources including the template for the owner’s manual.
Phius certification requires prerequisite compliance with Energy Star, EPA Indoor AirPlus, and DOE Zero Energy Ready, so we also have those certifications bringing the total to six. The house is also built to meet EPA Watersense requirements. We’re still pursuing verification and if achieved, will be the seventh certification. Scroll down to see the certificates.
The requirements for these certifications provided guidance for us during design and construction. Obtaining these certifications provides assurance to the buyer that this home will perform extraordinarily efficiently, be energy self-sufficient on an annual basis, conserve significant amounts of water, and provide a superbly healthy and comfortable living environment.
