We are hiring! After months of work, we have received Phius Zero Design Certification and anticipate a building permit soon. We are therefore looking for a versatile carpenter with schedule flexibility to help us build our first Phius Zero house starting ~July 1. The house, located just north of the medical mile in Grand Rapids, includes several innovative high-performance features including a “slabless slab,” double-wall construction, and better than passive house airtightness.

This position is considered part-time because the project will have periods without activity, and complete somewhere around the end of the year. Future projects are anticipated but currently not defined enough to consider this a permanent, full-time hire. Pay is commensurate with experience.
